HOW IT WORKS :-
Hydroquinone is a topical depigmentating agent that produces a reversible depigmentation of the skin by inhibiting enzymatic oxidation of tyrosine to 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine and suppressing melanocyte metabolic processes.
Precaution :-
Should be taken in patients having:
• Hypersensitivity
• Sunburn or depilatory usage
Report to the physician if the patients are allergic to Hydroquinone or any other drugs.
Side Effects :-
• Transient erythema
• Mild burning sensations
• Hyperpigmentation
• Staining and corneal opacities
• Tremors and convulsions after systemic absorption
• Hypersensitivity
